Joe Bonamassa – Litho… A dream come true!!!!

20150319_21344720150319_210002

Can I be more excited?  I don’t think so…

I just got my Joe Bonamassa – litho – and couldn’t be happier…  As you know (if you have kept up with my postings…  That the Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea cruise was one of my favorite musical/concert experiences of all time… Well for those of you that are remotely interested you must check into their “litho” offers.  You will receive Joe in a completely unique photo there are only 100 of them produced (framed professionally) & you also receive 2 free tickets to a concert guaranteed to be in the 1st 10 rows (concert of your choice, you just have to let them know in advanced notice of which concert – details come with your package) and a “meet & greet” (yes, you get to meet Joe… priceless)… For all you get with the cost (look on his website for details) actually for what you get… the professionally framed photo, the 2 tickets (guaranteed in the 1st 10 rows) & a meet & greet – I think you can’t beat it…

Oh – did I mention he ‘signs’ it…???  I know that sometimes these things seem like items too ‘expensive’…. but if you are a lover of music the way I am…  just don’t pass this kind of opportunity without doing a little research and think about what you get for it…  I mean how much do you spend on a Holiday/Birthday/Anniversary, etc. gift…  Talk about a gift that will truly be appreciated…  and definitely a thoughtful gift…  Easy to spend 100’s for gifts you’re not really sure that special someone will like…  Think outside of the box and truly make this a gift that will be completely unexpected…  🙂

All I’m saying is – think about it!!!

Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull

Wow – is all I can say… It was so much fun – we were on our feet dancing for the entire show.  Pitbull was a ton of fun – to be honest better then I thought he’d be as I really wasn’t that familiar with his music. BUT Enrique was exactly what I thought he would be and more… A picture tells a thousand words – check out the photos and you will see why we had such an awesome time.   Some songs I couldn’t understand any of the words (language) but it didn’t matter.  He is one of the most energized performers I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing.  I would highly recommend seeing him if you want to dance and have the time of your life!!!

Rick Springfield – March 2015 – Encanterra

As usual – Rick was incredible!!!  He never disappoints and to top it off I had the opportunity to take my 17 year old granddaughter – we had a blast!!!

Rather then rattle on about the show – I thought it would be more fun to just post a few videos of the concert.  Seeing him a few times now – it’s hard to keep repeating the same thing and not  be too redundant… So, enjoy the videos and slideshow of photos.

Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea 2015

I can’t believe the cruise is over… ugh! It was so fantabulous – there are not words that can really explain how awesome this vacation was. It was more than a concert – it was an experience! We literally had 19 bands to choose from. It was 4 days of the following artists:

Joe Bonamassa, John Hiatt, Robben Ford, Ryan McGarvey, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Ana Popovich, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Simo, Steve Costello, The Record Company, Bernie Marsden, Black Pistol, and I hate to say this but I think I forgot a few bands. Styx – January 2015

Well  the year is off to a great start with getting 4th row seats for Styx…  yes, you can say I’m a bit obsessed with them!  But it was one of the best concerts – here’s why – I had the absolute pleasure of taking my daughter and son-in-law, as well as some great friends.  They were as great as ever.  Every time I see them, they seem even more grateful that fans still come to see them…  To top the awesome night off I was able to jump to the front of the stage at the end of the concert and Tommy Shaw signed 2 of my albums.  Like I always say “you never know”.  Bring albums….  they truly do love their fans (most bands anyway) and if you’re equipped with a “sharpie” they will sign… He was so nice about it and needless to say I saw a bit ‘nervous’ but he was so kind and well – it made my experience that much more incredible.  What a class act!!!

Tommy Shaw at his best…. Crystal Ball….

Bona-who?

I’m Getting so excited I could scream… Joe Bonamassa here I come!

It’s almost time for the Blues Cruise with Joe…  we set sail February 17th out of Miami and not only is this a chance to see my favorite (I know I say that about everyone I see in  concert – but I mean it this time) blues/guitarist EVER.  If you have never heard of him – you really do need to go directly to this link and check him out….  you will not be sorry – you will definitely love his sound…

I hope I don’t bore you all too much – it’s just hard to keep my excitement ‘at bay’ vs. rattling on like a crazy person but I already want to talk about it and it hasn’t happened yet.  It’s really hard to believe how hooked I am on him.  There are a lot of performers out there that put on the most incredible shows, but you really haven’t lived until you see this guy in person.  I wonder how different it will be to see him on a cruise ship.  We get 2 concerts – so that right there is worth it right there.  Not to mention there are other blues performers on the cruise from John Hiatt, Robben Ford – the list goes on… 20 total performers – how can you beat that!  Most names I’ve never heard of so it will be mostly new music – which I’m actually excited about. I toyed with listening to the other artists, but I’m looking forward to hearing totally new music.  I will be back with more details as the days tick off – and even no one is reading these posts – I fell like this is my diary and I can pour my feelings out.  I’ll be back!!!  Ooooh Before I sign off tonight – I’m watching John Hiatt on Palladia and i just increased my excitement double…  he is so purely gruffly and honest when he sings.  Coo-lio!!!!

Music is awesome – don’t you agree??

Not that anyone will read this post – but I have to say how excited 2014 was for me.  So many concerts and so much awesome music.  I also have discovered some incredible music that was right in front of me but had never given it a second look.  The list goes on and on, but as you can see with my variety of music taste.  From blues (Joe Bonamassa) to rock (KISS, Def Lepard) to jazz (Hugh Laurie)… I had the unexpected pleasure of Nils Lofgren – and amazing to me I’ve had over 1,100 folks view my youtube (please check it out) video when he played at the Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix.  It was such an awesome relaxing evening and like I say – I had never heard of him, though he was right under my nose – in the Bruce Springstein band…  Simply beautiful music.

Kenny Loggins – San Diego 2013

A memorable San Diego 2013 Concert

As mentioned in my bio -I have a certain loyalty to Kenny Loggins (Loggins & Messina for sure) as he has given me the most memorable songs ever – very much a huge part of my younger years. There are many bands and singers over the years that have also left a lasting impression  BUT when it comes to Kenny Loggins he will always mean the most to me!!  I still tear up when he end each concert with the song Forever – heck, I have a tattoo with ‘notes’ to that song as part of the tattoo.  In the attached video I was lucky enough be literally feet from him… One of the best concerts ever – I was so close it gave me chills!

So because I’ve seen him so many times, the attached photos are mainly recent pictures (including San Diego 2013), but a collection of a handful of concerts – probably a total of 10 concerts, including a few of their ’05 & ’09 reunions tours.

Luke Bryan

Cheesy I know – but how applicable is his tour name – That’s my Kind of Night… it sure was!!!

What an awesomely great show and truly the kind of night that you can’t wait for, dance your butt off and leave satisfied show. He had you on your fee the whole show – well, we were in the Nut House (if you’re in the fan club you will know what that means) pit area, which is general admission standing area. I loved it, but unfortunately Debbie had to sit most of it out from a recent surgery (what a trooper to even come). Continue reading Luke Bryan
