Having the opportunity to ‘meet’ your music hero is probably one of the most exciting moments you can experience. How do I get invited so often:
- Join fan clubs (they are usually not expensive – often times free)
- Live on the edge – if it’s really someone you want to meet – you can often times purchase items at concerts to meet them – (guitar to meet Rick Springfield for example)
- Just be ready for anything – sometimes they just say – “hey come see us at the merch table”. I’ve gotten a lot of autographs that way.
- Always have a ‘sharpie ready’
- Don’t have anything with you to sign? Oh yes you do – ticket stub, tennis shoe (I have a collection of approx 10 Converse signned shoes – Kenny Loggins, Rick Springfield, Davy Knowles, SIMO, just to name a few) t-shirt, you get my drift!
- Bring your camera – even if they say they don’t allow cameras during the show – usually this is not true.
- Oh yeah – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had tickets stamped with “no pictures or photography allowed” – this is very rarely the case. Possibly no video, but photos are usually not a problem!
