Cheesy I know – but how applicable is his tour name – That’s my Kind of Night… it sure was!!!
What an awesomely great show and truly the kind of night that you can’t wait for, dance your butt off and leave satisfied show. He had you on your fee the whole show – well, we were in the Nut House (if you’re in the fan club you will know what that means) pit area, which is general admission standing area. I loved it, but unfortunately Debbie had to sit most of it out from a recent surgery (what a trooper to even come).
He is definitely a womans man (I mean really) but he is also a mans man. His music is so ‘good ole boy’ but has the girls attention with his stage presence (nicely worded, huh?? – cause true fans know what I mean by that). A highly recommended concert if you have never had the pleasure of attending one of his concerts. I already can’t wait for him to come back again!
You will see I was lucky enough to get 2 full songs recorded. They certainly are not the highest quality, but I hope you enjoy. One is the Drink a Beer song – I dare you to not get a bit choked up listening to that one. For those that aren’t aware – he wrote this song from the loss of both of his siblings – brother killed in a car accident and his sister died from an unknown illness that took her life shortly after Luke launched his career at the Grand Ole Opry which she had put together a gathering of his family/hometown fans. I can’t imagine what he went through and still does…
The to end the show – as he always does (at least the last 3 times I’ve seen him) is the Country Girl (Shake it for me)… that songs just simply the cherry on the ice cream sundae… how does he roll those hips like that… No one does it better! (sorry had to go there)
