Not only was it great to have a very relaxing acoustic evening – the songs were so great. I have to admit, I was not familiar with his music – but I went out and bought 3 CD’s the very next day. One of my best friends (who sadly could not attend and she was the one that got me to go) recommended me going. So Debbie and I went! Both of us would definitely see him again – I even bought the vinyl album (I love that they still make those since I have a record player and love to break that bad boy out every now and again, nothing like the sounds of vinyl)…. Well let’s top the evening off with a surprise… When he was done – did his encore – he says ‘we will be at the merch table to sign stuff and say hi – so we were like – yeah, right… they will only stay 2 minutes and limit who they talk to… well much to our surprise, we shot back over to the merch table and yippee – there he was. Signing away… I was so excited – I love getting the autographed items. He was truly one of the nicest ‘artists’ I have ever met (and I’ve been lucky to meet quite a few)… most are very nice, but we found him just frankly a very ‘nice/personable guy’ who stayed until everyone got their t-shirts, ticket stubs or just say hi and have a picture taken.
So, moral of the story – you need to check him out – you may just find yourself at his show thinking – how have I missed out on this guy in the past… That’s what we said…. and just pray that I have the chance to see him again. Or you diehard fans of his are thinking – where the heck have you been Lynda!
Thank you Nils for making us feel appreciated as fans… !
