Simply put – if you have never seen either band live – you simply have to!
It was probably one of the best concerts we have been to. We usually say that for each concert, but in this case – we truly had the time of our life!
All I can say about the KISS / Def Leppard concert is AWESOME!!!! Both bands put on such an amazing show. For Def Leppard I was singing all the songs right along with them. KISS I was so in “awe” of the pyrotechnics that I would forget to sing because my jaw was on the ground in amazement and we were so close you coudl feel the ‘heart’ by the pyro show. Both bands never cease to amaze me on how they never “age” and take me right back to the 80’s like it was yesterday…
We saw a lot of kids there and it was so great to see that. One of my granddaughters favorite band is Def Leppard – years ago it was her first concert. I wish she could have come this time, but next time for sure.
The stage set up was right on the mark – lots of pictures from yester-year and man oh man they surely have stayed in shape. Love them all but coudl watch Rick Savage all night long – Joe, your voice has never been better. Rick Allen you continue to amaze us. Phil – well you are simply awesome.
When you didn’t think the night could get better, then KISS came on! There are so many words that can be used to describe the show – but they have been able to sum it up before EVERY SHOW. You want the BEST, you got the BEST! Well – we simply got the BEST. I know they are aging (aren’t we all) but some how they seem to make it look ‘easy’ and they want us to go home satisfied – and they definitely accomplish that – my throat is still sore from singing and screaming for the whole entire show.
From start to finish – everyone was on their feet! Just like they say in Detroit Rock City… Everybody sure leaves their seat!!!!
I pray they continue to play and I will continue to go. Please, if you love rock and roll you will mark your calendar. You will not regret – we promise!
